I am able to also supply kilts made in a small selection of tartans woven in an 18 oz Regimental kilt weight, to Ministry of Defence standards, by the House of Edgar in Perthshire, Scotland.
Regimental weight cloth is thicker and somewhat "fuzzier" than typical worsted wool kilt cloth. It is known the world over for its warmth and durability. If you are looking for a strong, masculine cloth for your kilt, look no further.
The House of Edgar weaves this cloth with a traditional selvage, and although it is woven 54" wide, it is supplied to kiltmakers in single width cuttings, removing the need for a hidden seam in your kilt.
The tartans available in regimenal weight are: Black Watch - Highland No. 1a Cameron of Erracht - Highland No. 4 Gordon - Highland No. 3 MacKenzie Seaforth - Highland No. 2 Stewart Hunting - Highland No. 8 Stewart Royal - Highland
